In a statement issued Sunday, 26th August, 2012, O’Loughlin stated that though she was not successful she had the time of her life as she proudly represented the federation as an ambassador.
“During my time in China, not one time did I not think about you and was solemnly humbled when I looked up and saw our two star flag among the rest as it swayed proudly in the Chinese air letting the world know that we Kittitians and Nevisians have arrived and are here to stay,” O’Loughlin said.
She also went on to thank a number of individuals and companies who were instrumental in her participation in the pageant which included IREPSKN Group who was her official platinum sponsor, LIME St. Kitts and Nevis, TDC, Freedom Fm and Cloud 9.
O’Loughlin also thanked Green Valley Global, Minister of Culture Marcella Liburd and Yvette O’Loughlin. Caribelle Batik was thanked for its unique donation to the MWO Charity Dinner and Life Fitness Center and her personal trainer, Otis Bernier, for helping her to be in top shape. Appreciation was equally shown for the role played by Rolhensha Henry and Summer Taylor whom she said did a phenomenal job of communicating with her, updating her fan page and disseminating information to the media houses.
“I would also like to thank my mentor, friend and new parent, Mr. Eversley Liburd and Joan Maillard for holding my hands and putting me on the world stage and into the history books of our Federation. I also would like to thank Uzuri International’s Karl Williams and Mark McDermoth; the best designers in the world. Lastly, a very special thanks to all who supported me by turning on your television to “E!” to witness the culmination of my life changing journey,” she concluded.
