MASUD Returning to Calypso Roots for Carnival

Now after a 12 year hiatus from the calypso arena, Masud, as he is now known in the reggae world of entertainment, has decided to wet his feet again in the pool of competitive calypso.

It is just about two weeks since the Reggae star publicly announced that he will be competing in this year’s Calypso competition and If anyone, even for a moment, doubted how serious he was, when he made that statement, their ears will be in for a sweet treat from Thursday, (4th November), when Masud, using his Calypso name- ‘A Stitch In Time’, releases his first calypso, on all local radio stations.

The title of the song is, “I’m Still In Love”.  It was written by Masud and produced and recorded by the famous Jazzique Chiverton of Ball-A-Karn Productions in Nevis.   Masud decided to take on the name A Stitch In Time for the calypso arena, to help bring more awareness to the United Nations’ Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s UNITE To End Violence Against Women Campaign.

Just recently Masud released a self penned song entitled, A Stitch in Time, to support the campaign. It is now one of the official songs that will be used to push the “UNITE” campaign worldwide.

In his calypso, A Stitch In Time (Masud) sings passionately and unapologetically about his deep sincere love for St Kitts, the island on which he was born.  The following is a quote from “I’m Still In Love”…“Though we are going through some trying crimes, we will heal the wounds all in due time; running away never crossed my mind, from sweet little land of mine.

Masud says: “Anyone can say they love someone when things are going really well, but it is when things get rocky or rough….that’s when a relationship gets tested for that real unconditional love that we all wish to experience.

Masud Sadiki will be making his first public appearance as, Lord A Stitch in Time, on Sunday, 7th November 2010, at Beaumont Park at 4:00pm.  He will be performing as a member of The Legends Tent.

The energetic and hard working artiste has indicated that, “Everyone here at Pull Phactor Entertainment is really excited about my decision to compete in this year’s National Calypso Competition. I can hardly keep still and I’ve been practicing hard, to master a special Calypso whine and a jump, for when I hit the stage”.

We have just received the final mix of my first Calypso, “I’m Still In Love”, said Masud. It hits all national radio stations on Thursday, (4th November), for all to hear.

The artiste has issued an appeal to the national media to the new music with a wide audience.
