The statement was quoting Prime Minister and head of the Cabinet, Dr. Denzil Douglas, who was speaking on Tuesday 8th November, 2011, on his weekly radio program.

Douglas told listeners that, “Hopefully I would greet him in my Cabinet on Monday, when he is expected to return to work.”

Minister Carty underwent emergency surgery at a Miami Hospital on September 27th.

He took ill in mid-September during the visit of the Cabinet Ministers to high schools in St. Kitts and Nevis to distribute personal laptops to fourth and fifth formers and was later hospitalized at the J.N. France General Hospital before being flown to Miami.
