Minister of Sport Extends Condolences to Runako’s Family

Phillip said in a released statement, “On behalf of the Government and People of St. Kitts and Nevis and the Staff at the Ministry of Sport I want to extend condolences to Runako’s wife and children, his family and friends in Nevis and abroad, and the cricketing world.”

He continued, “Our grief is truly profound as Runako has been closely associated with our Ministry’s programmes dating back as far as 16yrs ago when he passed through the Giant Malt – sponsored High School/Colleges Cricket Programme.  As a successful graduate of this programme he earned the distinction of being the first participant to be selected for the West Indies Men’s Senior Cricket Team.”

Phillip further stated that the federation is proud of Runako’s accomplishments in competitive cricket and hailed the respect he earned on the local, regional and international stage for his cricketing talents and aggressive competitive spirit.
