An official from the Ministry has stated that the winning graphic will be used as the logo of the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) and will appear on all letter heads and documents.
They added Entries must be computer generated or drawn, but drawn logos should be able to be digitalized, that is, it should look computer generated and entries must be submitted to the IP Office electronically and should include a description or explanation of the design.
Other requirements for the design are:
·Represent the IP Office, that is, it should symbolize what the IPO is about
·Be the designer’s original creation
·Convey the message and meaning of its symbols
·Be unique, attractive, recognizable and memorable for various audiences
No entry fee will be charged to interested persons, however, all prospective participants must fill out an entry form at the IPO.
The official added that the deadline for submission is Monday, 30th April, 2012 and prizes include $500 and a World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Certificate.
