Minor collision stops traffic

It was approximately 12:15pm when a white Nissan car, P3375 and a grey Nissan car PA 4399 collided at the corner of Stainfort Street and Pond Road.

The collision however brought the flow of traffic to a crawl, during the very busy lunch hour, with many on the hustle into and out of the city.

Police officers on the scene had to re-direct traffic down Stainford Street while the matter was being addressed, in order to keep a proper flow of both vehicles and pedestrians.

One police officer on the scene told MiyVue.com that the white vehicle appeared to have been travelling east, towards Newtown on Pond Road, while the other vehicle was seeking to exit the top of Stainfort Street.

The matter is now been investigated by officers of the Traffic Department.
