Miss Carib Brewery (St Kitts Nevis) Ltd. Contestant # 6 – Trevicia Adams

Affectionately known to most as “Barbie” she grew up in the popular, diverse community of Newtown, where amidst the support and encouragement of family and friends Trevicia blossomed from a somewhat timid child to a determined, self confident, ambitious young woman. She recalls her childhood years as fun filled learning experiences; because of her fond memories of her membership in the Brownies and Girl Guides groups.

 

Trevicia attended the Washington Archibald High School where her extra curricular activities included membership in the school’s choir and captaincy of the school’s cheerleading team for two years.Enthralled and enticed by the energy, rhythm and freedom of style in a dance performance, Trevicia began her journey in dance as a member of the Okolo Tegremantine Dance Theatre. Her membership in this dance group brought her much satisfaction as she was able to express and focus her enthusiasm and passion for this art form.

The past ten years taught Trevicia to adapt to the rigorous training and discipline of dance which she now considers a vital part of her identity. Her familiarity with the stage and love for performing fostered other keen interests in modelling and cosmetology.Newly turned 21 years on the 03rd of December 2011, thisresilient, Kitittian beauty has CXC subjects and an Associate Degree in General Studies. Presently, she is employed as a Customer Service Representative at the St Kitts Co-operative Credit Union.

So far, her job experience has strengthened her appreciation for serving people and also her desire to educate herself as a human resources professional. This field offers her the opportunity to train, manage and equip people with various behavioural competencies that will empower them to be successful and realise their goals. She finds support for her determination and self motivation in this simple philosophy – ‘life belongs to the living and he who lives must be prepared for changes’.
