Missing Girl Found

It was since last week that the St. Paul’s resident was not seen but only in the last few days was an alarm sounded. The prayers of her family have been answered and some happiness has been restored now that she has been found.

The child went missing on Monday, 14th July, after last seen with her father, Clifford Ible, in the vicinity of the Dr. Blake Dental Clinic on South Independence Square Street, in Basseterre, around 9:30am.

What was even more disturbing was that the father too could not be found as police say his whereabouts were unknown. There is still no indication if he has been found and the investigations are continuing said the police source.

The child, Nylah-Jace Ible, when last seen, was wearing a blue short pants and white top (blouse) and her hair was combed in two plaits.

Nylah-Jace is also known as NJ and was born on 20th March, 2008, in St. Kitts. She is of brown complexion and was last known to be a resident of St. Paul’s. She is 3 feet tall, with slim built and weighs about 50 pounds. NJ also has a scar, (a mole) on the right side of her face.

After media reports surfaced on Wednesday, members of the public began filing messages that they had seen her and eventually the public awaremess helped in her discovery.

Police on Wednesday are now saying that Fhantrice Dorset has been found and is now being interviewed by detectives. Speaking with the Public Relations Officer for the Police Department, Inspector Lydon David, he told MiyVue.com that it was partly through the information disseminated yesterday by the local media why they were able to find the young woman as quickly as they did. He thanked MiyVue.com and the rest of the national media for their assistance. He said the public provided tips that “led them to a certain location where she was found.”

He was not willing however to disclose exactly when and where she was found nor the circumstances that led to her disappearance. He did however explain that he preferred to await the report from investigators so that he would be in a better position to share relevant details with the media.

When MiyVue.com asked him directly if Dorset was abducted or left her home on her own free will, the Police PRO repeated that he was not willing to say when and where she was found, or to comment on such matters, because she is still being interviewed.
Fhantrice Dorset who is the daughter of the Superintendent of Prisons, Franklyn “Weatherman” Dorset was said to have been missing since last Friday, 17th January, around 11:00am, at her home at Bladen Housing, Basseterre. She is a student at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College in Basseterre.

It is also being said that officials at the Probation and Child Protective Services are to be brought into the investigation but no information has been formally provided to either confirm this or explain why such measure would be necessary.
