The event, dubbed, “Mission St. Kitts Health and Fitness Run,” got started around 8:00am, moving off from the Bay Road, into Wigley Avenue, onto Cayon Street, Frigate Bay Road and finally making its way back onto the Bay Road, ending at the entrance of Port Zante.
Over 100 participants, including members of visiting Baptist groups, made the journey that finally ended around 9:00am.
A health testing clinic was also held just after the run with medical technicians conducting screens for blood pressure and diabetes. The doctors and nurses present also provided health and lifestyle advice to the runners.
Later today, a special rally will be held at Government House, Springfield, as the annual VBS activities, continue. A sports Day is also planned for Saturday afternoon at the Patsy Allers Playing Field, in West Basseterre.
