More disciplinary troubles for Garden Hotspurs

The troubles for Spurs have come at a time when the club has been having a relatively good season where for most of the early period they remained un-beaten and dominated the discussion amongst fans about the possibilities for championship. Now the dialogue appears to be shifting to the problems of discipline.

The SKNFA has now announced that two Spurs players, Javier Gaiton and Crispin Nisbett have been handed suspensions.

During the SKNFA Premier Division match – H.E Garden Hotspurs F.C vs. Rams Village Superstars on Saturday 8th March, at the Newtown Playing Field, player Javier Gaiton was issued a red card for verbally assaulting the referee according to Rule 10 (M) of the SKNFA Rules and Regulations.

For violating the said rule, Mr. Gaiton has been suspended for an additional three (3) games in the SKNFA Premier Division and has also been fined EC $75.00.

In the other case, it was during the said match, when it was reported that player Crispin Nisbett kicked off the door of the dressing room that was being occupied by the H.E Garden Hotspurs.

For this behaviour, Mr. Nisbett has received a two match suspension. He also has to repair the damaged door at the Newtown Stadium.

In another incident involving the McKnight based team, the SKNFA Competitions Committee had received a protest from the Tabernacle F.C regarding the ineligibility of Coach Glemerson Martins during the game Garden Hotspurs vs. Mantab.

According to the findings of the association, the Garden Hotspurs violated rule 7 (2) (Coaches) and was fined $300.00 for the said violation.

However, the result of the match will stand as two goals to one in favour of H.E Garden Hotspurs.

In other disciplinary matters recently disposed of by the SKNFA, Player Josh Leader of the S.L Horsford St. Pauls United Strikers received a red card during the SKNFA Premier Division match S.L Horsford St. Pauls United Strikers vs. Mantab. According to Rule 10 (b) of the SKNFA rules and regulations, Mr. Leader is automatically suspended for his team’s next match.

However, for the offence of violent misconduct (striking an opposing player), Mr. Leader has received a further one match suspension in the SKNFA Premier Division.

Zajah Isaac of the Harris Paint St. Peters was also issued a red card in the SKNFA Premier Division, and was automatically suspended for his team’s next match.

For the offence of violent misconduct after receiving the red card, Mr. Isaac has received a further one match suspension in the SKNFA Premier Division.
