The competition is open to all residents of St Kitts-Nevis and aims at greater involvement from the general public in the Human Rights discussion.
The new deadline for submission of entries has now been set for Wednesday 12th September, 2012 in order to allow for maximum participation.
The complete rules for the essay competition can be obtained from the Ministry of Health at its Bladen offices or at the Facebook page Human Rights SKN.
The categories and topics are as follows:
1. 9 – 12 years: What three solutions would you suggest to your Prime Minister to ensure equality among the citizens of St Kitts-Nevis? (500 words)
2. 13 – 17 years: In what ways can popular reggae and rap artists play a leading role in promoting human rights and equality for all? (750 words)
3. 18 and over: Discrimination of any sort or in any form infringes on human rights and is detrimental to human development in any place. Argue for or against this statement. (1000 words)
