This new emphasis was agreed on during talks between St. Kitts & Nevis Prime Minister, Dr. Denzil Douglas and Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Taib Fassi Fihri on August 12, 2010. According to a government release, the areas of agriculture, micro-credits, tourism and human resource were identified within the framework of the South- South cooperation.
Special focus is to be placed on training for the civil service, vocational disciplines, technology and professional development. This new initiative comes as part of the joint efforts of the two countries to deepen political dialogue and boost their economic, cultural and technical cooperation.
The two officials expressed their commitment to the enforcement of an economic partnership revolving around the exchange of visits of economic operators.
St. Kitts & Nevis and Morocco established diplomatic ties in 2007.
