Music festival expected to be a high quality entertaining experience, says Lawrence

Speaking with, Lawrence said the St. Kitts Music Festival is now a brand, and does not rely now only on which artiste will be on stage. “He said, “We are known for the quality of the product. It is a global product that is scheduled on calendars. We have a team of volunteers who are good at what they do, and patrons are in for one hell of an experience come Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.”

He affirmed that the St. Kitts Music Festival is still meeting one of its mandates to help promote the destination via the travel industry. “Over the last three to four months, international publications have been writing about the festival quite a lot. People in Europe and all parts of the globe are familiar with the festival and St. Kitts and Nevis,” said Lawrence, who indicated that the festival is also popular within the region.

The chairman feels the dynamics of the St. Kitts Music Festival are working and the plan is to stay in control.

“We expect to continue along this path we have been travelling. We’re making this years festival bigger and better than last year’s. We will continue to build an event known for its quality and what St. Kitts and Nevis has to offer,” said Chairman Lawrence.

On opening night Thursday, June 25, the line-up is unlikely to disappoint most patrons, especially the younger patrons who traditionally arrive in their thousands for the opening night acts that include, Roy Cape All Stars +, Ricardo Drue, BlaxxKerwin Du Bois, Benjai,Patrice Roberts, T-ViceTono Rosario, the Small Axe Band, Mr Bagnall and the Odisi Band.

The Friday line-up features Ciara, Bounty Killer, Christopher Martin, Aswad, AZ-1 Band, Trebla, Zemenfus Kidus, Jah Fire, Footsy, Nicha B and Mod Stoney.

The curtains come down Saturday evening when Music Festival patrons are treated to Jason Derulo, Trey Songz, Infamus and Arturo Tappin.
