Mr. Val Henry, MyVueNews.com:
Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 31, 2018 (MyVueNews.com) – After four months of a successful online ticket sales campaign, for the 2018 St. Kitts Music Festival, fans now have the added convenience of purchasing their nightly tickets from local outlets.
Some four outlets have been approved, including TDC Business Center on Central Street, Basseterre, the Ministry of Tourism and Gold Standard Clothing (both) at Port Zante and TDC’s City Drug Store in Charlestown, Nevis.
It has also been disclosed that during the week of the festival’s concerts, from Monday 25th June, tickets will also be available at the St. Kitts Marriott Hotel (at the festival’s hospitality desk), and at the Ticket Booth at the Warner Park Stadium.
Last reports from the Chairman of the festival, Damion Hobson, revealed that he has been very satisfied with the strong show of support this year from festival goers who took the opportunity to secure their tickets using the available online platform provided by the event website, www.stkittsmusicfestival.com
The recently rebranded website had been offering tickets since February at a heavily discounted price of EC$95.00, compared to the EC$135.00 as of 1st June.
Tickets in March were sold for $105.00, April $115.00, May $125.00.
The new ticket structure provided a gradual monthly ticket increase during the period February to May, making it easier for fans.
There has already been a positive response from the public since the release, last December, of the first wave of artistes, namely Patti Labelle, Spice and Ms. Lauryn Hill.
The full slate of artistes was later announced in February, 2018, immediately attracting wide-spread praises for what some described as the best line-up, in the 22 years since the festival was inaugurated in 1996.
Each night, say festival supporters, has the right mix of artistes and genre of music to crave the demands of fans locally and overseas.
The festival will run from Wednesday, 27th June, to Sunday 1st July. The events kick off with the Official Welcome Party at the Marina at Christophe Harbour and the Escape Fete, later that night at Salt Plage, also at Christophe Harbour.
