A prize giving ceremony has been scheduled for Wednesday 8th June, at the bank’s Port Zante location, for participants drawn from both the primary and secondary schools.
According to the bank, winners for the Primary School Category were Arljanique Ward, of the St. Pauls Primary School, in First Place, while those placing Second and Third, were Deonae Brookes of the Saddlers Primary and Sharez Huggins of the Dieppe Bay Primary respectively.
They were required to write an essay, between 200-300 words, on the topic: “What are the Benefits of saving while you are Young?”
Meanwhile, the topic selected for those in the Secondary School contest, was, “The Banking Industry Plays an Important Role in the Development of one’s Country. Essays were required to be between 300 – 500 words, as they attempt to explore the topic.
The successful candidates were Magnus Blake from the Washington Archibald High School, followed by Xarielle Blanchette, from the Basseterre High in Second Place and Chantal Hanley, also from the Basseterre High, in Third Place.
The prize giving is ceremony to take place on Wednesday June 8, at 2:30pm at the
Bankcard Centre, Porte Zante.
