Sylvester Anthony Chairman of the NCC expects a massive turn out to mark the launch of this festival. “The launch of Carnival sets the pace for the rest of the season. It is the best way to mobilize the masses to be a part of Carnival. With the reveal of the calendar of activities and the winner of the jingle and slogan competition, this year’s launch will not be one to miss,” expressed the Chairman of Carnival.

An excited line up of music, culture and heritage of the Federation will be displayed along with remarks by the Minister of Culture, the Hon. Marcella Liburd.

Patrons can also look forward to the launch of this year’s highly-anticipated Calypso Tents which will take place on Saturday 1st November 2014 at the Circus, Downtown Basseterre commencing at 7:00 p.m. Performances will showcase Calypsonians of the Proud Sound and the Legend Tent.
