It was hosted by the St. Kitts & Nevis Triathlon Federation in conjunction with the Diabetic Association.
Several international athletes convened in Charlestown Nevis on Sunday (29th January) for the sporting activity that featured a 5k run, 10k run and a half marathon.
Each course started and finished in Charlestown. The 5km course turnaround was just outside Charlestown near the TDC shopping centre, the 10km turnaround was in Cotton ground outside the new police station, while the half marathon turnaround was just past the airport in the Village of Newcastle
The 5K female event saw Alexander Adler of the USA taking first place, while Nevisian Stevie Jones placed second and Linda Dasserie of St. Kitts taking the third spot.
In the male category, Janiel Huggins of Nevis captured first, Aaron Flemingie second and Devon Jeffers third.
In the female 10k, an Italian (Monica) captured first place, while Joe Starr of the United Kingdom placed second and the USA’s Kathan Neary got third.
The male category saw Delvon Clarke of Nevis wining the event with Ryan Carvel of Canada placing second and Surem Banshi of the USA in third place
The Half Marathon categories saw Vanessa Williams of Nevis winning with second place going to Miranda Fellows, while the male category went to Curtis Cox of Trinidad and Tobago with Steve Dussen capturing second.
