Morton indicated that it was a genuine error and the athlete and her Mom graciously accepted the apology. Some of Renika’s achievements for 2010 included: Victrix Ludorum at CSS Sports, High School championship in St. Kitts—Class champion, Leeward Islands track and field meet in Anguilla—Under fifteen class champion, 1st in the four hundred meters; 1st in the long jump and 2nd in the 200 meters at the CUT games.

MiyVue.com contacted Morton to find out why was it so important to issue the apology and he explained that, “the parents were somewhat upset about the posting of the wrong photo.”

“It was an honest mistake and when I got word that they were not pleased I made it my duty to make an apology in person,” he added.
