New Canine Officer for Police Force

In their continued effort to drive positive change in the areas of safety and security, the CSSKNSI formally donated the 2 year old German Shepard to the Commissioner of Police Mr. Celvin Walwyn, during a public ceremony at Independence Square, on Wednesday 20th June, 2012.

Before handing over the dog, President of CSSKNSI, John Zuliani, indicated that the coalition is serious about providing support to fight crime in the federation, and said that the businesses who form the group, continually work closely with the commissioner to build strong partnerships and improve safety and security. coalition

He added that it is a partnership about working together, between businesses and government, to make St. Kitts and Nevis a safer place to live and to work.

In response, the commissioner thanked the coalition for the contributions of the crime fighting asset, and declared that the criminals should be put on notice, as their activities would not be tolerated.

The commissioner also pointed out that since he has been here, the coalition group has donated almost a half of a million dollars, without anything in return.

He also thanked dog handler, Constable Julius Wyatt, who underwent a month of training in the United States.

Walwyn added that the rank and file of the force have pledged to make the federation safer, with the help of the members of the public and business partners. He also pledged that once a criminal commits a crime they will seek the tools to catch them.

The canine named, Prego, and his handler Constable Wyatt, demonstrated some of the skills the dog was capable of doing. canin
