In confirming the news, a government source in Basseterre indicated that the Norwegian Pearl and Norwegian Spirit are two of the vessels to be used in the venture, taking in ports in the Southern and Eastern Caribbean.
It will be an 11 night Eastern Caribbean Cruise from New York leaving October 27th and December 22nd 2014; the 12-night Southern Caribbean Cruise leaving New York on December 1st 2014 and the 12-night Southern Caribbean Cruise from New York leaving on November 1st 2015, said the release.
The 4,000 passenger Norwegian Breakaway berths at Port Zante on January 4th 2015, January 18th and February 1st 2015 during its 12-day Southern Caribbean round trip from New York
St. Kitts’ Port Zante is on the 2,466-passenger Norwegian Pearl’s 10-day Eastern Caribbean trips from Miami on October 20th, November 10th and December 1st 2014 as well as January 2nd and 12th; February 2nd and 23rd; March 6th and April 6th 2015 and the 11-day Southern Caribbean trips from Miami on October 20th, December 11th and December 22nd 2014 and January 22nd and March 5th 2015
It was also disclosed that on its Transatlantic voyage from Barcelona to Port Canaveral’s 16-day itinerary on board the Norwegian Spirit, which departs on November 15th 2015 will make port calls in Madeira, Spain; St. John’s, Antigua; Basseterre, St. Kitts; Philipsburg, St. Maarten and Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas.
The Norwegian Gem is the fourth of Norwegian’ Jewel-class, preceded by Norwegian Jewel in 2005, and both Norwegian Jade (originally Pride of Hawaii) and Norwegian Pearl in 2006.
