Sweet L’il Things have opted for a stationary setting in Independence Square, tempting customers with their colourfully designed tasty confectioneries.
Two other companies established at the training, have chosen to meet the needs of the market in the town of Sandy Point, St. Kitts and Bath Village, Nevis. Flavour of Rhythm is appealing to children and parents with a cartoon-themed treat bag packed with fruits and a music CD or DVD of popular family-oriented materials. Meanwhile, Swift and Sleek Car Wash offers exterior and interior cleaning options for vehicle owners looking for an affordable option with high quality service. They will operate on Bath Road close to Claxton Services.
Pierre Liburd, Senior Youth Officer in the Department of Youth Empowerment, told SKNIS that he was pleased with the commitment shown by the groups during the January 14 to 19 training taking place at the St. Johnston Community Center. He encouraged the public to support the new companies today and tomorrow as they practice techniques learnt at the workshop such as negotiation, good customer service and contingency planning.
The training is funded primarily by the Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis. It is organized by the Department of Youth Empowerment in partnership with the Division of Youth Services in Nevis. This workshop is the third under the CEBO umbrella. CEBO was developed by the CARICOM Secretariat with input from Regional stakeholders.
