A special government committee has again been established to consider all applications that have been invited from the public.
However, only two more weeks remain, before the closing date for nominations, according to a government release on Friday, (12th August, 2011).
Nationals are being encouraged to table their nominations for those Kittitians and Nevisians who might be deserving of the available awards for the Star of Merit, which may be awarded for long and meritorious service or for loyal and devoted service to the Nation, or the Medal of Honour, which may be awarded for outstanding and meritorious service to the Nation.
The process for selection requires the submission of nomination forms which may be accessed via the internet, (www.cuopm.com), or from Government Headquarters, on Church Street, Basseterre.
Completed forms are to be forwarded to the Chief Secretary, Mr. Joseph Edmeade before 31 August this year.
Those eventually selected will be invited to Government House, on a date to be determined, to be presented with their awards by the Governor General, Dr. Cuthbert Sebastian.
