Duties for this post will include advising the Executive Secretary of CICAD, the Secretary and members of the General Secretariat of the OAS, on progress and gaps on the development and implementation of projects and activities; leading, managing and overseeing the development and delivery of activities, establishing and promoting concepts and instruments of horizontal cooperation in the area of drug demand reduction.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in social sciences, public administration, health sciences or a related field and 15 years relevant experience in drug abuse prevention, treatment or rehabilitation. Managerial experience is required while a Master’s Degree or a Doctorate in a plus. Computer literacy and proficiency in both Spanish and English is also required.
The successful applicant will be based at the Executive Secretariat of the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD), in Washington DC.
