Sofia Vergara, Rashida Jones, Gerard Butler, and Woody Harrelson announced the 69th Annual Golden Globe nominations at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
It was also revealed that Morgan Freeman will be presented the Cecil B. Demille Award for his outstanding career achievements.
The Help was nominated for Best Motion Picture – Drama while its stars Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer received Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama and Best Actress in a Supporting Role- Drama nominations respectively. The Help also received a nod for Best Original Song.
Actor Idris Elba was nominated for Best Actor, TV-Movie or Miniseries for “Luther.” And Bridesmiads (featuring Maya Rudolph) was nominated for Best Motion Picture – Comedy.
The Golden Globes will by hosted by Ricky Gervais and air on January 15, 2012.
