Oil Is Little Changed in New York Trading, Giving Up Earlier Gain of 1.4%

Brent oil for January settlement decreased $1.48, or 1.4 percent, to $106.30 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. Brent’s premium to West Texas Intermediate, the New York benchmark, declined to $10.02 from $11.61 yesterday.

The Nymex trading floor closes at 1:30 p.m. New York time today, an hour earlier than usual, on the day after the U.S. Thanksgiving Day holiday. Trading volume was 200,633 at 11:44 a.m. Volume was 477,159 on Nov. 23, the lowest level this month.
