One week Foot-Care Comes to Locals

In an exercise to complete their residency for a Bachelor of Science, Podology (BSc Pod) degree, some 40 doctors, nurses, aestheticians and pedicurists, along with the NASP graduating class of 2012, will bring their wealth of expertise to St. Kitts.

Under the leadership of NASP Founder, Dr. Katharin von Gavel “The unique programme will provide professional foot-care to the people of St. Kitts and Nevis, “who are in dire need of leading-edge, professional foot-care.”

Dr. von Gavel stated “The renowned late Dr. (Jaime) Astaphan was instrumental in bringing the NASP team to St. Kitts in 2007 and the tremendous success of our programme, which has literally improved the feet of hundreds of Kittitians, has kept us coming back.”

The NASP graduating class of 2012 will be offering four days of hands-on clinics, to help residents with skin and nail related foot problems from 16th -19th January.

The foot-care professionals and students will provide service for diabetics and a host of other severe foot-related skin and nail conditions, including extreme rough and dry skin, painful cracked heels and severely thickened toenails.

In addition to this, the KVG Group and Footlogix Pediceuticals will be providing all necessary products and supplies, again with no charge to all recipients.

The first 100 people treated will also receive a free gift, said an official.
