According to the Human Resource Department of the Federal Government, a number of scholarships have been made available for persons interested in studying in the United Kingdom and Mexico.

Applications, said the HR Department, are now being encouraged for Commonwealth Graduate and Post Graduate scholarships to be completed in the United Kingdom for the academic year 2012 to 2013

Application Forms for Masters and PhDs are available at the Human Resource Management Department, Government Headquarters, Church Street, Basseterre and must be completed and returned to the mentioned Department by Wednesday, October 19, 2011, said a release.

Human Resource officials said details pertaining to available areas of study, available universities and additional queries can be obtained from the Human Resource Department.

Meanwhile, applications for CARICOM/Mexico Cooperation scholarships are also being made available, for study in Mexico for the academic year 2012 to 2013.

These scholarships, said a release from the Department, are for persons wishing to pursue Master’s, PhD and Medical Specialization Courses as well as Graduate Research, Postdoctoral Fellowships, Undergraduate and Graduate Mobility Programmes and other Special Programmes.

Application deadline for submission to the Human Resource Management Department, Government Headquarters, Church Street, Basseterre is Friday,October 07, 2011.
