According to Travelmole, the property, which dates back to 1969, will re-open as a four-star boutique hotel following an 11-month refurbishment.
The renovation is being financed by a US$5 million loan from the Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF).
All 50 air-conditioned guest rooms and suites are being renovated, while the conference room, private dining room are undergoing a major upgrade and the entire electrical system and relaid and a generator installed.
The hotel will also have a new restaurant ‘The Verandah’, with panoramic sea views.
