Party sources have been indicating that the organization will be a much stronger and better organized entity, coming out of this weekend’s convention.
During the past couple months said the source, strategic work has been ongoing, to rebuild the party with the aim of making it more viable and effective, in its efforts to represent all Kittitians and Nevisians.
Though no further details have been disclosed, the assurance was given that PAM recognizes the urgent need to revitalize its different organs if it is to help lead St. Kitts and Nevis away from the worsening economic hardships being faced in the country, at the hands of the Labour Party.
A public meeting has been planned for tonight Thursday, 15th March, in Old Road, the constituency that was narrowly snatched away from the PAM party during the 2010 General elections. It is also the constituency contested by party leader, Lindsay Grant in the past two elections, (2004 and 2010).
Last Sunday, 11th March, a similar meeting was held in the Sandy Point constituency which is currently represented in parliament by PAM’s Shawn Richards.
Top party officials, including National Political Leader, Lindsay Grant, his deputies, Shawn Richards and Eugene Hamilton and others, are expected to address those in attendance.
On Friday, 16th March, the party will also welcome to the country, for the first time, the former Prime Minister of Jamaica, and leader of the Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, Mr. Andrew Holness, who will be the Guest Speaker at Sunday’s, (18th March, 2012), convention.
