The street parade was made up students from the various primary schools in St. Kitts as well as members of the Solid Waste Management Corporation.
The parade commenced at Warner Park, before making its way through the streets of Basseterre, drawing attention from employees from various business and government institutions, with the participants showcasing various environmental messages. It ended at the Independence Square.
A number of stakeholders convened at the Independence Square, (such as TDC) showcasing some of their energy saving equipment they have available.
Also at the square was the Department of Agriculture, highlighting green technology equipment, as well as agro processors.
The exhibition also highlighted the composting process being undertaken by the SWMC to produce fertilizer from food material.
