Phillips is scheduled to leave Jamaica today with a delegation to Boston, New York and London to engage in a series of meetings with fixed income investors in preparation for fundraising activities in the international capital markets.

The delegation is expected to meet with representatives from institutions such as investment banks, pension funds and insurance companies to discuss the recent performance of the Jamaican economy, and articulate the macro-economic and fiscal path that Jamaica intends to pursue in order to realise economic growth and development.

The team is also expected to discuss Jamaica’s fundraising needs for the fiscal year.

The delegation includes Financial Secretary Wesley Hughes; Bank of Jamaica Governor Brian Wynter; Senior director for debt management, Pamela McLaren; and Phillips’ technical advisor, Helen McIntosh.

The team will return to Jamaica on Tuesday, May 1.
