A release from the Pink Lily Cancer Care foundation indicated that the organization is
marking its 5th anniversary, today, which is also the day on which World Cancer Day is commemorated.
To celebrate the occasion, the charity organization has been distributing cancer awareness materials at the Memorial Square in Charlestown. This was undertaken between the hours from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
They were also scheduled to host a press briefing with members of the media on the island.
Members of the media also had the opportunity to interact with cancer survivors, Pink Lily volunteers, and Ministry of Health officials.
Pink Lily is fast becoming a trusted source of cancer support to those who find themselves touched by cancer both directly and indirectly and in need of someone to talk to in confidence.
Pink Lily Cancer Care exists to reduce the fear, stigma and phobia associated with cancer by providing support, care and education. They create a better understanding of cancer and give hope to people living with or affected by cancer in St Kitts and Nevis and the wider Caribbean.
