Piper Seneca runs off Barbados runway, causing delays

GAIA corporate communications specialist, Keith Goddard, told the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC) there were no deaths or injuries but there were limited operations at the airport as investigators probed the cause of the incident involving the Barbados registered six-seater aircraft.

The fire service, police, airport security all responded, he said, adding “there were some delays as a result of the incident but we worked quickly with the various agencies to make sure that we can address these situations and have normal operations resume as quickly as possible with the aircraft landing at Grantley Adams”.

Goddard said that the nationalities of the two member crew and passengers were not immediately known and that normal operations resumed three hours after the midday incident.
