Earlier this week, an extra-ordinary meeting of the financial institution was convened at the company’s headquarters, to administer the election of the Board which will serve for a three year period, running from October 2010 to 2013.
At end of the election, the membership gave the nod to well known financial executive, Mr. Ernest Pistana, to serve as the new President of the FND Credit Union.
The other Board members elected were: Mr. Faron Lawrence, Vice-President; Mr. Auckland Hector, Secretary; Mr. Gary Moving, Treasurer; Mr. Spencer Howell, Director and Mr. Dwight Warde, Director.
All members of the Board had been elected unopposed during the 1st Annual General Meeting of the FND Credit Union, held on October 2nd 2010. These members along with members of both the Credit and Supervisory Committee will be handling the business of the Credit Union until the year 2013.
The Credit Committee consists of Mr. Esrick Lanns- Chairman; Mr. Howard Richardson- Secretary; Mrs. Cynthia Morton; Mr. Dennis Phillip and Mr. Valdermar Warner while the Supervisory Committee is comprised of Mr. Ashford Franks – Chairman; Mr. David Fox; Ms. Judith Rawlins; Mr. Howard Mc Eachrane; and Mr. Randolph Taylor.
The FND Credit Union was established in 2009 after some 24 years of providing loans and technical assistance to small and micro businesses in St. Kitts & Nevis.
This is its first year as a fully fledged credit union which now offers a wider range of services such as permanent shares and regular savings, certificates of deposit with exceptional rates and terms, loans up to $200,000 and financial counselling to members. Also coming soon is our cheque service, along with online banking.
