A Horrible St. Kitts Performance Against Antigua

 
After appearing to be in command of the game, ending the first day with a first innings lead of 26, after bowling out Antigua for 236, in reply to St. Kitts’ 262, St. Kitts crumbled in its second knock at the wicket, managing only a disgraceful 82 all out, setting the visitors a small target of 109 for victory, which they accomplished with one full day (Sunday) to spare, in what was supposed to be a 3 day encounter.
 
Veteran batsman for St. Kitts, Shane Jeffers, Stroked his way to an impressive 74, Calvin Williams 57 not out, Jacques Taylor 38 and Sheeno Berridge 36, in the first innings.
 
Calvin Williams and Sheeno Berridge added 100 runs for the 10th wicket.
 
Bowling for Antigua and Barbuda, in St. Kitts’ first innings; Anthony Martin collected 5 wickets for 60 runs while Rahkeem Cornwall 3 wickets for 88 runs.
 
Antigua and Barbuda in reply got to 234 for all out with Sylvester Joseph getting 39 and Maxwell Georgson getting 81.
 
 
 
Bowling for St Kitts, Jacques Taylor collected 2 wickets, Calvin Williams got 2 and Christanja Carey grabbing 4 wickets, from Antigua’s first knock.

 
In their second innings the St. Kitts team collapsed to a miserable 83 all out leaving the Antiguans with just 109needed for victory, which they achieved late on Saturday at Warner Park, just losing 3 wickets in the process, thereby winning the game by 7 wickets.
 
 
 
The Next game for St. Kitts will be versus Nevis at the Elquimedo Willet Park, in Charlestown.
