Information which was given to MiyVue by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, who holds responsibility for Crime (ACP Crime) Joseph Liburd, indicated that the find occurred at approximately 12:30 am today (21st Nov.).
“Police responded to a report of gunshot being heard at Low Street, Charlestown. Investigations revealed that about five shots were fired in the area but no one was injured. Police searched the area and among other things, one pistol was found.”
The Assistant Commissioner did not indicate the caliber of firearm which was taken into possession but explained that it is the 40th illegal firearm which has been taken into police custody for the year.
