The 37th Graduation ceremony of the RSCNPF took place at the Police Training Complex under the distinguished patronage of Governor General, Dr. Sir Cuthbert Sebastian and was attended by other dignitaries and members of the diplomatic corps.
Smartly bedecked in their white tunic and perfectly seamed trousers and skirts, and with appropriate headgear resting perfectly on their crowns, the members of the graduating class entered the compound led by the Police Drum Corps, before taking their positions.
Prior to the commencement of the official ceremony, the platoons were inspected by the Governor General His Excellency Sir Cuthbert after which the salute was taken by him and Prime Minister Douglas.
Acting Commandant of the Course, Inspector Lionel Moore, in giving an overview of the course said it was a special occasion for both the him and the recruits as they were the first to have been training under a new programme called the…He said it was a special occasion for him as it is the first time that he has acted as Commandant.
He said the recruits worked hard during their months of training and wished them well as they begin a new journey, a new career, and a new way of life. He indicated that all 24 recruits had successfully completed the course.
