According to information which this media house received, the incident occurred sometime after 10:00 p.m. on 13th June, 2011 in the vicinity of the Cayon Police Station.
Reports suggest that motor car P2135 – driven by Patricia Fahie of Lodge Project – was driving around the round-about which is in the vicinity of the Cayon Police Station when it struck two individuals – Blondelle Jeffers and Odorian Jeffers of Tabernacle.
Having struck the woman and child – MiyVue.com understands – the vehicle then drove onto the adjacent lawn before ploughing through the white picket fence which surrounds it and traveling some distance down Cayon’s main road. This media house also understands that the vehicle eventually overturned and was deposited in the remains of the old burnt-out public library.
This media house was reliably informed that the driver of the vehicle along with the two pedestrians, were taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and discharged.
The extent of the damage caused to the vehicle is however unknown.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
