The inspector was unable to say how soon formal charges will be brought against Price at the time of speaking to MiyVue.com, as investigations continued.
Price was arrested at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport this morning, as ‘Killer’ and his entourage prepared to return to Jamaica, after their Friday night performance at the St. Kitts Music Festival. It is alleged that Price stole a mobile phone from someone during the process of departure.
In the past, there have been a few incidents where Music Festival performers, or persons associated with them, have been arrested and charged for offences committed in the federation. Perhaps the most notable of them was DMX.
Meanwhile, in unrelated police news, Kevin Hamilton, originally from St. Paul’s Village and a resident of West Farm, was arrested and charged Thursday for possessing a loaded semi-automatic pistol and matching rounds of ammunition. Hamilton was picked up by the Anti-Narcotic Unit during a stop and search operation.
Investigations are ongoing for both incidents.
