Despite the delayed announcement of the official cause of death however, it was already very obvious to members of the public that 34 year Trevor Douglas originally of St. Pauls Village in St. Kitts, was killed by wounds sustained from gunshots. Police were however being careful to await the official findings that would be necessary for their possible court actions, and evidence presentation.
They said that the autopsy was performed on the body of late Trevor Douglas by pathologist, Dr. Stephen Jones. Douglas at the time of his death was a resident of Shear Lane, in Basseterre, one block from where his body was discovered.
The results revealed that Trevor Douglas’s death was caused to hemorrhage and shock due to gunshot injury. The circumstances surrounding his death, they report, are still unclear, and investigation is ongoing.
Douglas’ body was found on Wednesday 27th March, 2013, at around 10:00am, in a very narrow passage, separated by two buildings, with some eyewitnesses saying, with the body being slightly covered as if to conceal its presence. This however has neither been confirmed nor denied by police.
The body was discovered by someone in the area who later alerted the police.
Police are again requesting the assistance of the public in solving the crime and anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477-(TIPS). Remember you don’t have to provide your name or address and you may be eligible for monetary reward.
