Basseterre, St. Kitts, 18th June, 2018 (MyVueNews.com) – As more firearms are removed from communities around St. Kitts and Nevis, Superintendent Travis Rogers is appealing to the public for their assistance.

He told the media, “We are stepping up our efforts to help reduce the incidence of crime, but we cannot do it alone. We are asking the public to cooperate by giving information that will lead to making arrests. Our Officers have pledged to give their fullest support.”

Superintendent Rogers, the acting Divisional Commander for Division B, made the appeal just hours after a Police search patrol found a 9mm pistol with 9 rounds  of matching ammunition. The gun and ammunition was found just outside a property in Molineaux.

Last week, Police searches resulted in the discovery of three firearms, two on Nevis and one on St. Kitts. Sixteen firearms have been removed from communities since the start of the year.
