According to a police press release, during the operation, a search was made through some bushes which led to the discovery of the firearms and ammunition, along with 2 extra magazines and 104 dime bags of cannabis.
One person was taken into police custody to assist the investigation in relation to the find.
Also, in a joint operation conducted by members of the Nevis Division of Police Force Criminal Investigation Department, Task Force and Crime Patrol Unit, a warrant was executed on the premises of Ibol Tyson of Low Street, Charlestown.
During the search of Ibol Tyson premises, a quantity of crack cocaine was found. Ibol Tyson and Kishnel Benjamin of St. Pauls were formally arrested and charged for Possession of Crack cocaine.
The release also reported that Jermaine Whyte of Fiennes Avenue was formally arrested and charged for the offence of receiving of one BlackBerry cell phone the property of Delisle Walwyn, on 6th July 2012.
Reginald Brown of Irish Town, Bay Road was formally arrested and charged for the offence of discharging a firearm in a public place.
