A target of 5,000 text messages was put in place by the HCC for the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, but disappointingly only a total of 1,693 messages or 34% were sent by residents.
Among all the OECS countries that participated, the most text messages were sent from Antigua and Barbuda, with a total of 5,271, or 53% of the established target of 10,000.

St. Kitts and Nevis was 5th amongst the (9) nine OECS countries that participated and 12th overall amongst the 17 nations involved.
The greatest disappointment came from the twin-island Republic of Trinidad & Tobago that could only muster 107 text messages from its population of well over one million people. Trinidad, which was a set a target of 100,000, managed less than 1%.
Despite its poverty and other hardships, it was the nation of Haiti that delivered the greatest number of text messages, some 90,642 or 18% of its target of 500,000.
The HCC was hoping to attract one million text messages for the campaign but got only 229,539 or 23% overall.
