Premature ending to SKNFA Premier Division Game

According to reports, Kevin “Muffin” Pemberton, the Goalkeeper for St. Peters was shown the red card by referee James Matthew in the 42nd minute but refused to leave the field.  This resulted in the referee ending the game with 3 minute left to play in the first half.

However, St. Pauls was the victorious team, winning the game, 4-2.

Scorers for S.L Horsford St. Pauls were Thrizen Leader (captain), Kurvin “Infamos” Benjamin, George “Yellowman” Isaac, and Terrence Ward.  Ward now Joins Imron Ponteen of Conaree as the two leading goal scorers in the league with 9 goals each.

Alton Brookes and kurkland Harris scored for St. Peters

Officials were James Matthew Anthony Bergan, Sherlene Browne & Stedroy Techeira

In other games played in the SKNFA Digicel Premier Division League Football Matches Played over the Weekend:

On Sunday 19th February at the St. Pauls playing field, Coury’s Gatorade Conaree defeated Rams Village Superstars, 1-0

On Saturday 18th February at Newtown playing field, St. Thomas Trinity Strikers drew with Mantab (0-0)

Officials were Ike Inniss, Steadroy Techeira, Florencetine Morton & Anthony Rawlins

In the second match:, UDC Garden Hotspurs had an upsetting victory over the defending champions,   Newtown United, 3- 2.

Officials were James Matthew, Alexis Joseph, Ike Inniss & Troy Mills

There was one A Division One game was also Played on Saturday at Verchild Playing Field where Verchilds High School won the National Under -15, 3- 2.
