Private Primary Schools to compete in inaugural athletic championships

The event will take place with two sessions running from 9:00am until 12 noon and from 2:00 p.m. until all events and festivities are completed. The four participating schools are the Immaculate Conception Catholic School, the George Moody Stuart (Factory) School, the Maurice Hillier Memorial School and the St Kitts International (SKI) Academy.

It is being jointly organized by CenPOS Limited and the St Kitts Department of Sport.

Describing the upcoming Championships as a benchmark event, Gary Smith, Sales Executive at CenPOS, disclosed that a committee assisted by officials from the Department of Sport and other support mechanisms will be deployed to ensure the safety and success of the meet.

Mr. Smith emphasized that providing the students with the opportunity to display their talents was the priority of all stakeholders. He further revealed CenPOS’ goal to eventually transform the Championships into a regional event, with participating athletes from private primary schools across the Eastern Caribbean.

CenPOS and the Department of Sport have expressed thanks to Carib Brewery and Island Purified Water for their partnership and kind contributions towards the event.
