According to a statement from the Cabinet Secretariat in the Office of the Prime Minister, Monday 26th December, Tuesday 27th December, Monday 2nd January 2012 and Tuesday 3rd January 2012, will be public holidays.
With Christmas Day and New Year’s Day falling on a Sunday, the following day will be observed as a holiday, said the statement.
This means that Carnival Day and the usual street parade of troupes and bands will be observed on Monday 2nd January.
The much anticipated j’ouvert jam will be held on Monday 26th December
