An official from the Ministry of Finance said such purchase orders must be presented to businesses prior to the delivery of goods or services.

“It will also further tighten the financial management of the system, facilitate easier payments to businesses, and cut down on the waiting time for payment,” said the spokesman.

He said only ITMS generated orders would be honoured for payment.
