In October 2012 Reach for Recovery launched a “Pretty in Pink” Facebook photo competition mainly to spread awareness among our young women and to engage users with pertinent information about breast cancer via this very popular social network.
Markysa O’Loughlin, Reach for Recovery Member says: “This year we decided to expand the reach of our audience by opening the contest to males as well, to reinforce that breast cancer does not discriminate with gender.”
The contest will suitably be renamed: “Posh in Pink”. The contest allows for everyone, categorized in four (4) age groups- 6-12, 13-18, 19+ and “Real-Men-Wear-Pink” to dress up or accessorize in pink and have their friends vote for their picture by liking the Reach for Recovery Facebook page and their photo.
