Rogers and Lawrence miss out on Finals

Both Brijesh Lawrence and Jason Rogers however did their country proud when they gained a place in the Semi-finals, after Rogers won his Heat (#3) in a time of 6.59 and Lawrence coming in fourth in his Heat (6), in a time of 6.63.

When they continued their campaign in the Semis however Rogers was only able to clock a time of 6.62, while Lawrence reached the finish line at 6.68. Unfortunately this was not adequate to make the final cut.

In the end, it was Jamaica’s Nestar Carter, in a time of 6.50 that took the lead into the Finals.

Those that did qualify for the Finals were:

  2. 2.Richard Kilty (GBR) 6.52
  3. 3.Femi OGunode (QAT) 6.55
  4. 4.Kimmari Roach (JAM) 6.55
  5. 5.Marvin Bracy (USA) 6.52
  6. 6.Gerald Phiri (ZAM) 6.57
  7. 7.Bingtian Sin (CH) 6.57
  8. 8.Dwain Chambers (GBR) 6.58

At the completion of the Finals however, it was Richard Kilty of Great Britain who won the gold, in a time of 6.49, followed by Marvin Brady (USA) 6.51 Silver Medal and Femi OGunode of Qata in a time of 6.52, Bronze medal.

  2. 2.Marvin Brady (USA) 6.51 (Silver)
  3. 3.Femi OGunode (QAT), 6.52 (Bronze)
  4. 4.Bingtian Sin (CHN), 6.52
  5. 5.Gerald Phiri (ZAM), 6.52
  6. 6.Dwain Chambers (GBR), 6.53
  7. 7.Nestar Cater (JAM), 6.57
  8. 8.Kimmari Roach (JAM), 6.58
