Sandra Bullock Celebrates Ravens Super Bowl Win with Adopted Son and Movie ‘Son’, Michael Oher

In the movie Blind Side’, Bullock played the role of tough but loving adoptive mother Leigh Anne Tuohy, who took Oher, then a homeless teen, into her home and took an active role in his journey to Super Bowl fame.

Bullock, who watched the Ravens victory in the stands with the Touhy family, dressed her adopted son, Louis Bardo Bullock, 2, in Oher’s jersey to honor him.

Oher, now 26, was one of 12 children of a crack addict who bounced from foster home to foster home until the Touhy’s took him in. Oher’s story inspired the movie the Blind Side, which earned Bullock an Oscar.

Bullock keeps in touch with Oher and the Touhy’s. “It’s funny,” said Oher, “I’ll get texts [from her] during the game: ‘why did they do this. They should have done that.’”

Statistics show that few black families were willing to adopt black and biracial children, and it is very difficult to find permanent homes for black teens.

But more and more Caucasian families are willing to adopt African-American and biracial children as the result of famous adoptions by white celebrities.
